I'm not a Remington collector so I don't know a lot about them. I couldn't help but notice this one though as I was cruising the bay. Perhaps someone could splain this one to me.

I don't think that's the first time for the seller to list that knife. Looks like it was up for sale 7 years ago.

It's been on EBay for a couple of weeks, and no takers.

Out fishing for that special buyer.

I remember years ago, receiving a knife sale list from Joe Seale. He had about three or four such Remingtons of different variations in blade number, lockback or not and bone, stag and dark green celluloid handles.
As I recall, they were priced $3500 to $5000 and he sold them all.
Not a Remington expert, obviously, but those Norfolk Whittlers are some of the rarest Remingtons there are.
Cannot speak to the knife's bona-fides, but it certainly looks great.

Sometimes in this life you just have to settle. I'm not sure I'd even trade because this one is made so well and the maker is a friend. I can't fathom spending $10,000 on a knife to stick it in a safe with a bunch of others.____Dave

Charlie is correct. Great knife and absolutely the most rare Remington out there. I have collected knives for over 50 years and have only seen 3 or 4 of these knives and I bought one of those. Mine has full blades but pocket worn stag but I am very proud of the knife. Really wish I could afford that fantastic whittler on eBay.
