In Need Of a Schrade USA 6 OT Blade Blank
Posted: Sun Mar 11, 2018 2:04 pm
Greetings Friends!
Thanks to a kindly family member here on the forum, I am going to venture into replacing the blade on my Old Timer Lock Back.
I had a few saved on Ebay some time ago, unfortunately they are no longer available.
Drastically and frantically I searched the web for one with not much luck.
One's I have found do not have the hollow grind and not heat treated, so useless to me.
So...I thought I would ask here.
Also, where do you all buy parts such as new pins? I am under the impression you can't use the same pins once you take them out. Is this correct?
BTW, the Old Timer was my first Old Timer purchase 40+ years ago and still in great shape. Except the blade is worn away, and had to reshape the tip after a bit broke off. And now when it's closed, the point don't seat. Sticks up out of the handle.
Thank You ALL Kindly, and as always...best to contact me by Email. [email protected]
Happy Daylight Savings Day....
