All About Pocket Knives

Finally finished my snake or at least as finished as I do. He is a diamond back but instead of a ball in a box for a tail he got a little plunger for a rattle. The main reason for that is I like to whittle plungers more than ball in a box. Knives used were primarily a case congress in cv and a flexcut. The baby showed up one day as I was waiting on my sweet wife to shop. Thanks for letting me share.

That is awesome! Love the Diamondback concept and that baby snake is fantastic too. Neat stuff!

Oh yes, definitely. I have two #43's. One is a Half Whittler and the other is a "full" Whittler. I like the Half Whittler a little better but I'm very fond of them both. Thanks for asking.

As I fight with my first project its good to see others with real talent. My ball in cage is slowly devolving into a pile of kindling or maybe hamster litter.

Redhawk it is usually a competition between the kindling pile and the band aid pile. Obviously I am not a carver like Olde Cutler or mrwatch but just a whittler. Relaxing, calming, fun and if something goes right then rewarding. I enjoy a lot of things more than ball in cage, my last one wound up a foot ball in a cage so stay after it and then try something else. Look at all you have learned so far! Maybe I should start raising hamsters on the side.
