Do knives with spinner "tracks" occurring during the process of doming pins on the scales, deter from knife in looks and value or is this just the norm?

I've always thought it is the norm because I have seen it on the old Schrade Cut Co knives, Schrade Walden knives, and even on other brands.

For me, it does sometimes. It depends on the individual knife and what I want it for. If it's a keeper, I look very closely at that very thing (among other things). If it looks too ugly, I'll pass. I've seen some really bad ones.

It's the "totality" of the looks on a knife that I look for but that is a very good question, and it is definitely one of the things I consider before buying. I don't remember anyone asking that question in recent memory. Good observation. ::tu::
