Opinel # 12

Post by FRJ »

I saw this nice number 12 Opinel knife in another thread and remembered that years past I/we had one.
It's never too late to sweep or retain.
I think they are pretty nice knives.
I have shown them with Cold Steel Twistmasters, just because .........

An Opinel is a fine knife. No doubt about it. A neat thing to do is to whittle the handle either into a different shape, or add a spiral, or a face. The sky is the limit.

This is not mine, just from a Google search.

Joe do you have a preference between the Opinel and the Twistmaster? The CS knive appears somewhat more durable, e.g. not subject to swelling.

Thanks guys. ::tu::

Quick Steel, I much prefer the Cold Steel knives in this case. Not to take anything away from the Opinel.
They are a great but, as all knives do, they have their limitations. They are also far less expensive than the Cold Steel
and will cut the same rope. ::nod::
