I came across a 1977 Texas Ranger commemorative knife in a tin box yesterday. Its a White bone Folding Hunter. I was trying to do some research on it to see if it would be worth the $160 the guy was asking. I cant find anything on it and wish I would have picked it up now. I hope its still there when i go back. Has anyone ever seen one like this?

No, but i would be surprised if it is worth even half the asking price as really no one collects Texas Ranger Commemoratives. They are not a single series but have been made by whatever company wants to market some knives. Schrade made some and more recently AGR had some excellent T.R. knives made in China for a stretch of 9 years.
However to be sure a picture of the knife you are looking at is needed. There could be a T.R. knife that is valuable that i have not heard about.
