Case 1982 Pearl Set - Trapper, Copperhead, Mini Trapper

In 1982, Case rocked the world of Case pocket knife collectors with the release of the amazing 1982 Genuine Mother of Pearl Set. This limited collector’s edition of 1,000 sets (all serial numbered) set a new standard for quality, with custom-level file work on the backsprings of each knife, along with carefully selected flawless mother of pearl handles.
This release also amazed collectors with the pricing – the three-knife set had a suggested retail price of $1,000. The cost to the dealer at that time was $500 per set. Consider that was almost 40 years ago. Based on the CPI, $1,000 in 1982 would be equivalent to over $2,600 today!
I recently acquired two of these rare sets. I am selling this one intact with its original wood and glass display case.
Note the magnificent mother of pearl and the amazing file work on these knives. Each knife has the serial number 430 engraved. All knives are MINT, no cracks, strong snap on all blades, no wobble.
Knife #1 is the “Mini Trapper”, pattern # 8207 SP SS, 3-1/2” closed.
Knife #2 is the “Copperhead”, pattern # 8249 SS, 4” closed.
Knife #3 is the classic Case full-size trapper, pattern # 8254 SS, 4-1/8” closed.
The glass display case is hinged top open, the dimensions when closed are 11-1/2” x 9” x 3-1/2”.
