I am doing this backwards. I built the stiddy from designs before I knew what their function was. Now that I am trying to figure out "pin work", is this wing on the stiddy for backing to peen short pins that end at liner?

I fork the end of the pin with a triangle file, so when you tap it through the hole and it impacts the anvil the fork folds out and secures it to the liner, if you don't make some kind of kind of notch or cup in the end of the pin you can tap on it until you are blue in the face and it won't peen itself out on the anvil. I have a video on peening on the horn of a stiddy on my YT channel i think.

I believe most of the factory handle rivets used with Delrin handles were semitubular rivets.
They are hollow on the end where they protrude through the liner and it's easy to pin them that way.
Kaleb's method is much better for solid rivets, but the factories haven't been using solid rivets for many years.

I have some semi-tubular rivets I'll see if I can't get a picture up in this evening.
