All About Pocket Knives

No new scales for this one, just a disassemble and cleanup. When I received it it was rusty and grimy but functioned as expected. Most of the cleanup time was spent polishing the blades, they still have some minor pitting but they look better than they did. During re-assembly I discovered that the blades were not closing properly. Luckily I had taken the advice of one of the seasoned pros here and had taken pictures of the knife before it was disassembled. A couple of the blades were in the wrong position. I disassembled the knife again (its easier the second time!), put the blades in the proper places and re-assembled.
Its a nice looking knife now and could be used as an EDC if desired. I'm still working on the lighting for my photos, outdoors seems to be the best but its currently 20 degrees out there so you get the photos with indoor lighting.

Now that's what I call DEEP CLEANING!!
You did a very nice job but I wonder why you didn't put bone handles on while you had it apart? Unless of course it was for a customer who didn't want new handles.

I figure when I've got a knife that far apart there's no point in not upgrading the handles because you've got 90% of the labor involved already. It doesn't take that much time to add new handles. That at least has been my point of view on cleaning, repairing and upgrading knives.

This knife is from a group of knives that I grabbed from E-Bay. I didn't have my bone scale order from Culpepper when I did this one so I used the original scales. (My order came in yesterday so I'm excited to try jigged bone and smooth bone scales for my next few projects).
And I agree with you, 90% of the work was done already, it was just a matter of what was available to me when I did the knife.
