A Fancy 303

The 303 is a bit like a Volkswagen Beetle: plain, relatively small, and practical. Here is one that gets a little fancy: jigged redbone and engraved bolsters. The knife is part of a four knife set made by Buck (1989) for exclusive sale by SMKW, the "Buck Special Edition Redbone Set". Each knife in a set has an etched serial number for the set. In addition to the 303 there is a 301, 305, and 309. Five-hundred sets were scheduled, but I don't know how many were actually built.

Nice knife. The 303 is a good size for not taking up much room in your pocket. That one's all dressed up and ready to go. ::tu::

This is the first one I've seen. .Really Nice! With a run that big it must be engraved by machine. I like a little bigger slippie my favorite is a 301. USA Bucks are very collectable and that is a great one.

Beautiful Bert, I guess I'll have to add "Buck Special Edition Redbone Set" to my "must have" list.

I love it! I wish Buck would produce more small knives in interesting handle materials.
