All About Pocket Knives

Here's a couple of pics of a couple of Barlow knives that I recently worked on (practice knives). One of them was re-handled with canary wood and outfitted with a new Schrade blade (the old blade was snapped off). I'm not sure if I like this particular blade profile or not, it seems just a bit too small for this knife.
The other one is my first attempt at using acrylic for handle scales. Its actually easier to work with than I thought it would be and I can imagine using it on future knife projects. I just disassembled that knife again though, the springs seemed way too strong and I'm wondering if I switched the springs from their original position (the springs look identical). Still need to finish cleaning up the blades but all in all I'm happy with the way it turned out. I've got a few more knives to work with then I'm waiting for some of my latest E-Bay finds to arrive for more of the same.
Each knife is a little bit different and each one seems to end up with a flaw or two on completion. But it seems like the flaws are getting smaller.
I'm enjoying this alot the only down side will be the abundance of re-worked knives that I'll have lining my shelf.

Down side? I see that as a plus!

They both look like keepers from my house. The electricians knife is eye catching without being gaudy.
It's a cool looking knife... now!

That's really good work for practice Jeff. I wouldn't even attempt that. My hat is off to you "knife mechanics", you guys sure do put in a lot of work.

Nice stuff. Being partial to the TL-29, that one is my favorite, but both look good!
