Massive Fighting Knife

I picked this old clip point knife up at a Flea Market at the weekend. The vendor said his neighbour used it for chopping logs. It's very well made and still quite sharp. The false edge is sharpened and the blade has a very nice convex surface. There are the remains of 2 rivets in the handle. I cannot find any markings, so far, but I'll be restoring the knife, so something may turn up.
The Knife is 24" long, with a 20" blade, which is 4 1/2" at its deepest point. It weighs in at a hefty 4 1/2 lbs.
Any ideas on this one?

Just a guess, but it looks like something made in India or Pakistan.

We ain't gone yet! But yes, kudzu is a tough opponent .
As to the knife, if it weighs in at over four pounds I would guess that it is a Pakistani product intended for sale to the US, not made to use. That would be heavy even for a hand and a half broad sword that is almost four feet long.
