Stagman and his wife, Will and Pam Blackwell [Clear Creek Knives] urgently need our prayers. A botched gall bladder operation has left Pam in grave condition with dangerously low potassium levels. A new and good doctor spent much time at their home [3 hours] and ordered that Pam immediately be taken to ER; this is a long ride away. Will and Pam have been married 48 years. Will joined us in 2005. Prayers are asked for and appreciated. This is a devestating time for both of them and need our support.

I inadvertently wrote that Will and Pam had been married 38 years. I have corrected that to 48 years. From the ER Pam will be admitted to the hospital. It will probably be Monday or later before Will returns home.

Its 4 am monday, and after 36 hrs in hospital, scans said surgery site was ok, but, severe infection
in intestine, pancriatitis, and liver throwing out excess bile, ran iv antibiotics thru her, pain meds,
had to go back for endoscopy later in week...got scripts for bile reducer, more antibiotics...least them clips they
put in during surgery did not migrate..she has went from 131 LBS to 106 LBS in 5 weeks...
I pray she can start eating again once this infection simmers down...

Thanks Garry and all the other aapk members who sent out there prayers, just told her of this when I
put her to bed and she was very, very touched by all of your efforts.....believe it or not,, said in hospital
she feels a outside source helping her...thanks to all of you !!!

Treefarmer, you are right about them Doc's, this one is a internist / endocronoligist, and they most compassionate
Doc I ever met, only does seniors on medicare, no office, house calls only, I love her as does Pam
Doc's like her are very few, to be had...thanks again

The human body can suffer thru amazing amounts of stress but it is up to the spirit to keep pushing thru it all.
I will continue to pray for you both.
It sounds like you are in very capable hands there. and that is paramount.

I am so very sorry to hear of Pam's continued struggle. I wish I had words that could somehow help, but that is asking too much of words.

Just know that there are many of us who would do anything we could to ease the pain that you and Pam are experiencing. Those of us who have faith realize that genuine love is often accompanied by great sorrow. Deep down we know that our sorrow will be replaced by joy at a time of Our Lord's choosing.

So we shall continue to follow Jesus' instruction to ask, seek, and knock, that your dear Pam be healed and that you will continue to have the strength and grace to assist her in her trials.

This is sad to read, but I will continue to pray for Pam and Will.

It is difficult to know what to say other than to ask Gods help, and kindness for his children.

I suspect this was a laparoscopic procedure and they spilled gall bladder contents into the abdomen.

That's bad if it was not realized at the time of surgery.

Sounds like she was discharged and got sick afterward.

If that is correct, she will need a laparotomy and flushing of the abdomen and repair of any abscesses that have formed.

It's not an insurmountable situation, but it's quite serious.

We will be praying for Pam, Will and the medical staff involved.

I put Pam on our church prayer list.
There will be many people here this week praying for her.

We will continue to pray for her recovery. Also praying for Will. It is very difficult when half of you is in the hospital(you know what I mean).Will get rest when you can you’ll need strength to take care of her when you get her home. PTL.
