I found an Iroquios folder - Ever heard of them?

I found this Iroquis the other day. It isn't much but I figured I should get it because of the tang stamp.
It needs a good cleaning and it has been sharpened heavily. The scales are pretty good. I see some shrinkage.
Y'all know anything about these knives?

Better pics coming after I clean it up a bit.

Apparently made by Utica along with Seneca knives.

Yep, I found that thread during a work break a little while ago. I hope to read thru the whole thing at lunch. Thanks for the heads up.

I only have this one Iroquois knife. Found it at the flea market a while back for $1.00. The original plastic (celluloid?) handles were cracked and shrunken, so I rehandled it in coca bola. This one is a 3 3/8" jack with tip bolsters. This one is in good shape and looks a lot better in coca bola than it did in in cracked and broken plastic. They seem to be a well made (for what was obviously a lower price knife) and take a good edge. Mine has no other markings other than "Iroquis Made in USA"

I picked up this Iroquois 2 3/4" jack at our local fleamarket over the weekend. It cleaned up nice. Kind of odd the the handle material (celluloid?) is yellow on the mark side and an off white on the pile side. Kind of the nature of celluloid?

Maybe it's sun bleached on the pile side? Just a guess. It's a fine looking little knife.

Yes, I thought maybe it layed on a window sill or on a shelf by a window to do that. Would the sun have yellowed a white handle or bleached out a yellow one?
