In spite of some sharpening both blades look pretty good.
It's nice to see someone took care in the use and the sharpening of this knife.
You just wonder how it got away from them.

That is gorgeous! Love the saber grind.

I rarely see Thomaston knives and those i have seen had shadow construction or tip bolsters and plastic handles.
A bone handled Thomaston must be rather rare ?
Am i correct that most Thomaston knives have plastic handles ?

My experience has been the opposite of yours. I have never personally handled a Thomaston which was not bone handled. I should probably add that only amounts to ten or fifteen knives in over 40 years of collecting.

Ooops, i think i just had a brain burp here. The knives with plastic handles that i see on ebay are "Thornton" i believe, not Thomaston.

No half stop on the main blade but half stop on the secondary pen.

Here's another pen knife with much bigger bolsters. Also at 2 3/4".
No half stop on the main blade but half stop on the little pen.

Always happy to aquire a Thomaston, especially so, with this 4 1/4" cigar.....
