All About Pocket Knives

I was hoping someone would advise me on the best places to try and sell a nice early eighties knife. According to his grandson, Mike Hangas, it would have been made around 1983, which is the last year that Rudy made them himself. Thank you in advance.

If you choose to use any of the reputable on line sales sites for quality knives you will be charged typically 25 to 30% of the sale price. Some examples you might check are AG Russell, click on The Cutting Edge; Arizona Custom Knives, Nordic Knives etc. I am not familiar with the costs involved with setting up an eBay account but if you set up an auction on your knife you may do very well. Ruana has considerable collector interest. It seems to me to be a bit of a hassle for just one knife. I hope other members will come along with more experience and better suggestions. Good Luck.

I have sold a few things on Gunsinternational, they have a upfront charge of $4 for misc. items and $12 for guns. You can put up to 15 photo's of your knife and list it for 90 days. No other fees. They have quite a few knives listed. or try the AAPK "advertisement" listing. Terry

I do still have the original sheath and I am still thinking about getting a COA from the Ruana Shop in Montana.

I think that is always a smart move.

Although there are fees associated with Ebay, I think that you will find that your best audience and best bottom line will be there. You do need a good description and pics, including sheath. You can pay for a COA from Mike and Mark, but for that particular knife you would not need one; it speaks for itself with good pics; the electro-etch is genuine. I do know a thing or two about Ruana knives.
