All About Pocket Knives

I bought these two old knives to try to learn how to repair them . The top one is a Camco and the bottom one is a old Imperial , Prov. R.I . I've sanded and steel wool ed the steel liners , do you guy's have any suggestions. I'm going to get some yellow handle material off of muskrat man to make all new handles. All In put would help. I got the Craftsman pocket knife fixed by watching muskrat man's video on how to repair Schrade pocket knives. Thanks

Knife repairs are addicting! Welcome to the club! Work slow. Take your time. And make sure that any holes you drill all line up. Other wise your pins can bind and cause your new handles to crack. There are lots of tutorials here. As well as some work in progress type posts. Take some time and look through them. If you have a specific problem ask! There is someone here that can help.

One thing I find helpful is to take pictures or make drawings as I dissemble the knife. Helps to get it put together correctly!

I finally got this old Imperial easy open finished. I put curly maple handles on it. I don't have alot of tools yet but with what I do got I think it came ok.

Looks decent! Keep going, the first one is usually the most intimidating.

I'd say that you are a pretty handy fella!
The only suggestion that I have to offer... The top image with the blown out wood around the handle pin nearest the bolster...
I always clamp wood or any material that can splinter, onto hard a wood like White Oak as a drilling block. Just holding them together does very little to support the grain.

That' not a blow out , that is a discoloration of the wood. Thanks for the encouragment.
