All About Pocket Knives

I was lucky enough to find this nice little knife at a car boot sale; that'll be a car trunk sale to you guys! It was in a box of old tools. I knew of such knives, but never actually seen one.
It's by Chris Johnson & Co Sheffield. I expect the sheath originally had a side compartment for a sharpening steel.
I like the knot at the end of the handle.
What age do you think this might be? Thanks.

Could you post a picture of the blade markings?

I have a Sheffield Green River also.I believe it dates to the last half of the 19th century,It is not marked England on it so dates to before 1891.

Sorry for the slow reply; Here's a close up of the writing on the blade. As you can see, mine has 'England' on it.

A c. Johnson &co green river left to my by my grandad. Not sure of age but very nice and sharp, has original sheath and sharpening rod with an acme scout whistle attached

It is a small world after all..., He has some other ones out that I plan to look at... I almost clicked on the Mora knife one just now... but I need to be getting to bed soon...
