All About Pocket Knives

Later in Maher & Grosh's life they had a lot of knives made by Schrade Walden.You also find them in bone and then later in delrin.You will find bone handled one's with a Maher & Grosh's tang stamp and some with a Schrade Walden stamp and Maher & Grosh etch.Some etched will be Toledo,Ohio,and some Clyde,Ohio.
M & G changed hands in 1962 or 3 when. The last of Maher's descendants passed away.You will cine mostly felt in handled knives in the Clyde era,but you will see bone one's also.They obviously had some left over bone handled Schrade Walden knives,has Schrade went to Self in in 1960 or so.

Next is a one handled trapper with Maher & Grosh stamp.

Next is a 3 1/8"pen knife 242 pattern with Schrade Walden stamp and Maher & Grosh Toledo Ohio etch.

Next is a bone single saber blade with Maher & Grosh Toledo Ohio stamp.

Next is a bone handled 856 pattern,Schrade Walden stamp and Maher & Grosh,Clyde Ohio etch.

3 3/8" single blade with some kind of swirl composition handles. Stamed Schrade Walden and Maher & Grosh Toledo Ohio etch.

Schrade Walden 293 pattern delrin trapper with Maher & Grosh Toledo Ohio etch.

Next is a delrin Schrade Walden stamp and Maher & Grosh Clyde Ohio etch 895 pattern stockman.

French ivory gardening knife,pattern 196 with Schrade Walden stamp and Maher & Grosh Clyde Ohio etch.

That is a remarkable and beautiful collection of Schrade Waldens. I don't personally consider the Maher and Grosh connection particularly primary as they were just a store, but that is just me. It is a good a place as any to start a Schrade collection. I am in awe of your parade!!! Other stores that bought big from Schrade were Primble, Hardware Hank, Shapleigh, etc., etc.Thanks for sharing.

The cotton sampler, I really like that one. I see very few of them in any brand.
