All About Pocket Knives

This is a new addition to the collection; horseman's knife from the 1890s-very early 1900s. Made by John Milner & Co. It has a few hairlines in the bone and the lambsfoot is just a little short. Otherwise, good original condition. The inside of the stone pick has some ridges which, combined with the notch just below the bolster, serves as a nutcracker. s-k

It looks like a 19th century Swiss Army Knife!

My first look at your new knife.
She made me think of an old dentist tool from the 1890s-
All you need to add is a pliers to go in to a painless business back then.

Thank-you guys. Yes early swiss army knife is a good description. Not sure I like the idea of a metal tooth pick. Maybe it had another purpose?

Ken, I'm still working on the mother of pearl display. I am taking your original advice and making it all mop. You have not missed it. I need a few more knives before it is ready. I will post it asap. thanks. s-k

fine looking knife. I think it'd look good in my knife drawer. But it probably looks ok in yours too

That is a NICE knife! I'm jealous! Some of that English bone is hard to tell from stag. I don't think I'm brave enough to use a metal toothpick.
