Mmm Mmmm. Daddy like. That really gets my juices to flowing. I've had a love affair with the White Hunter since I saw one in an outdoor magazine in the late '50s. I finally got one back in the early 2000s. It's a 1998. About that same time I acquired a Puma Stockman Cape Buffalo from the Big Five Series and a couple of years later, decided to try to get all of them in the series. As you can see, I succeeded. I know I've shown this before but one more time won't hurt anything. Will it?

Is the handle material Corian? That's used for countertops.

Puma .... Reviving A very old thread I found in my searching

In my quest to gather lots of Stockman Pattern knives I found these 3 beauties from Puma a few years ago.
Reading through the thread it seems Puma is a Brand that is known in the USA but has never managed to snare a large share of the knife market.

Brumbydownunder, I agree with your assessment of the Puma brand not having much of a share of the American market.
The stockman knives are great, I'm especially drawn to the red bone handle, something about a red bone handle that looks good to me. I suppose the Puma stockman is the same size as the Case and Queen large sockman frame, 4 1/4"?
To help liven up this thread, here's a Puma 260 that I picked up recently for $5.00. The lady had 2 knives, the Puma and a Pakistan Buck "wannbe" , she said either one, 5 bucks. I think I shared it one the forum back in early April. I found another Puma several years ago, a larger lock back and my brother-in-law said he needed it.

Treefarmer These Stockmans are 3 3/4" and you are right about the Red it really "Pops".
That 260 is Classic Puma and like the Buck 110 has been copied by everyone, we used to see them regularly in Australia in the 80's (?) but not so much these days. Great find for just $5

My only puma is this 1973 Game warden 970 , has always been a bit of a grail knife to me
