All About Pocket Knives

Just finished this guy up. The customer wanted me to do a handle with the same wood he made his dining room table out of years ago. He had some pieces but couldn't remember the wood. I'm leaning towards ipe, I've done a few decks with this wood and it matches exactly, right down to the yellow streaks, and the fact that it seems as hard as steel LOL. This was made from parts from the Canal Street manufactured Kabar copper bolstered barlows:

Now a question, I thought "Birds Eye" pins were the type that look more like a pin over a larger washer. Is that larger tang pin actually referred to as a birds eye?

Americanedgetech, it actually is a pin in a larger washer so to speak. They're both the same material so I was able to hide the pin. Many times you'll see a brass washer with a NS pin, which really gives it that eyeball look.

Too much to learn... I had thought yours was either a Loveless "screw type" or a fat pin.
