Hi From Saskatchewan EH!!!

My name is Bob and I'm a knifeaholic! I guess it started way back when I was a kid, with my Dad having pocket knives and the local Co-op hardware store having a small display of them. I still have a couple of my Dad's German made Premier pocket knives, which I treasure.
I've started collecting a few over the last couple years and found that my niche is Sheffield made knives...they just speak to me (sounds weird I know!) Even more so since tracing my ancestry back to Yorkshire England, with a couple relatives buried in Sheffield Cathedral.
So far I've picked up a few Ibbersons, a William Rodgers pearl workback pen knife, and a W. Mills silver handled 4 blade senator, with fileworked backsprings. And also another W. Mills on the way...a pearl sleeveboard lobster.
I think I've taken up enough space for my first post, so bye for now!

Aloha, Bob...and
If knives of any type speak to you, then you've come to the right place...it's not weird at all; you're among family now. We're always eager and interested to hear what your knives say to you and especially to see photos of your collection.

Bob welcome to AAPK. Most of the Sheffield knives I have run across are very high quality knives. I can't wait to see some pics of yours!

Hi Bob, another WELCOME to AAPK. Your collecting niche is a good one; there aren't too many knife collectors who don't like Sheffield knives. You may have already done this, but you can search the stores for "Sheffield" in the box on the upper right of the home page. Currently there are about 150 there... that ought to get your juices flowing!

Welcome here Bob! Anxious to see what you've got so far. Would like to see your Premiers also. Although not considered very collectable by most people, I have accumulated a few. There's a thread here about Premiers.
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=42187. You can probably also find others by using the "search" feature.

Hey Mumbleypeg! Thanks for the welcome and the info on Premiers! Posting a pic of my 2 Premiers that belonged to my Dad. The peanut has some of the nicest cracked ice celluloid I've ever seen. The pic really doesn't do it justice.
