Well it's not often these days I'm blown away with some products but this imperial schrade has, it's fit n finnish is very good, perfect no but remember this is a £14 pocket knife, blade retention is very good, a good snap when you open and close the blades, blades are 3cr13mov? Need to find out what that's comparable to,420? All blades are sharp, ok bolsters possibly SS but a good thing is the pin goes right through the bolsters and then polished, you can just see it in the pic, SS liners, and really nice Amber swirl resin scales with brass pins and inlayed badge that are all flush fitted, I'm actually so impressed I've ordered the cracked ice congress and stockman ::tu:: I'm a very happy chap :D

Paul that's a good looking knife. I've got a soft spot for the congress pattern. ::tu::

I almost bought one of those in the cracked ice myself. I like the amber you have much better I think. Definitely a good looking knife! Tell us what you think of the steel; I've read different things about how well it takes/holds an edge.

I too, am a fan of the congress patterns, and also the whittler patterns. I was given an Imperial Schrade large stockman for Christmas with the cracked ice scales. I am very impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship of this knife. I have no idea where my sister got it, but am impressed with it, the fit and finish on all the blades is outstanding, the snap is strong on all the blades. I am a huge USA and German Made knife man, but I am surprisingly blown away with how far these knives that are made overseas have come. I will be puting it on a stone and since the weather is too cold to be in the shop, may have to see what kind of shaving it will curl off.
