Posted below is a copy I took from Tank's facebook page. Tank aka Anthony Meeks is a long time member here at AAPK and has served as a moderator for several years. Tank has ALS and has been bedfast and on a ventilator for years. In the past few months his health had declined considerably. Here's what his friend and caretaker, Robin posted:

This is Robin posting for Anthony. For those that don't know, Anthony just started hospice care. We are hopeful for improvement, but also preparing for decline. Thank you all for your love, thoughts, prayers, and kindnesses over the years. Love to all.


Please lift this courageous young man up in prayer and ask for God's hand to be upon him.

Really sorry to hear of this, prayers for him every day. Humble yet stronger than most people I know, life just doesn't deal the cards right IMO.

Sorry to hear things are worse. Would love to hear of improving condition and will be praying all involved will find strength to get through a difficult time.

Praying for Anthony. Though I have never met him personally, I know he is a good Christian man and a fine fellow. Gods healing hands.

Anthony is one of the good ones! This sucks to read stuff like this. Prayers going out to him for healing.

Lord, Tank is loved by his friends here and I thank You for their devotion that flows through You. Having friendships like those here at AAPK is a blessing. I pray that your healing hand touches Tank in the most meaningful of ways today and every day. Amen

May God's will continue to be manifested in Anthony's life, as it has been in the the past.

ALS is a terrible disease. Maybe someday, we will have a cure or a preventative for it and the other associated neuromuscular diseases like MS and MD.

So sorry to read this...he seemed doing well about 8 months ago
when he bought a knife from me...
Tank is a fighter I know that...he has beat the odds over and over

This is Robin. Anthony is free.
He passed away peacefully yesterday evening surrounded by love. I will post arrangements when I have them. Thank you all for your many prayers and visits these past several weeks. He was an extraordinary man and will be deeply missed. heart emoticon
