Question about Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett

I saw a Hibbard Spencer Bartlett two blade with MOP scales. The main blade is stamped "Our Very Best." Also, on one side of the tang the number 2012 is stamped. Is that a model or pattern number? I know Frost Cutlery makes a lot of Hibbard Spencer Bartlett makes reproductions and I want to make sure 2012 is not a year of manufacturer. I know HSB went out of business in 1962 when they sold out to John Cotter & Co. Unfortunately, I do not have a photo. Anyone have an idea on the age of this knife?

Sorry I don't know that much about Hibbard Spencer Bartlett pattern numbers. With a picture it's usually possible to tell if it's an old knife or a modern recently made one. If it's in mint condition it's most likely the latter.

I found this catalog cut on the net. It shows a HSB pattern number 2012. Two blade, Ebony handles, 3 3/8".
Click on the pic and you should be able to enlarge it.

Wow! Thanks so much! It's fantastic you found the catalog with the number. Do you have a year on when the catalog was printed?

I never knew your name was Bruno.
Thank you for the link to the catalog, it shows my Ulster farmers jack in a better picture than the cut I have.

Bruno I wish these modern knife companies would take a look through that catalog. There are some absolute knockouts in there.
