All About Pocket Knives

This isn't a knife but figured it would be most appreciated by the fellows who frequent this part of the forum. I was walking the plowed fields a few days ago looking for arrowheads and found this older claw hammer head sticking out of the mud, I found another piece of the handle about 20 yards away. Coincidentally I found the vintage links hammer handle at the flea market last week for $2. I don't know why I bought a hammer handle as I rarely break one and didn't have an older style claw hammer that it would fit anyway but it ended up being a perfect match. I restored the entire hammer removing all the rust and pits and polishing it out, surprisingly enough it wasn't pitted as deep as I expected because there was a good layer of red paint still on the head that protected it quite a bit. The name was mostly obscured by dents and dings where someone used the side of the hammer to strike something hard but from what I could decipher and with the red paint it may have been a Belknap. So here is my $2 hammer with a story (about $4 if you count abrasives)

Daaaang, that turned out nice ! For a minute I had thoughts of you using it to forge a billet or something, but this is much better.
