I've never attended Phil. I'm sure there is something for everyone there but I have the impression it is weighted towards knife making, customs, and manufacturer displays.

Though I have some, I'm generally not interested in customs, tacticals, modern commemoratives, and fixed blades. My main interest is pre-1960 folders.

I'm sure I would enjoy attending just for the spectacle of it, but will I also find a lot of vendors selling older knives? Thanks,

Dennis

Always a great show, and there are as many traditional dealers as there are at most knife shows.

In very general terms, yes you can find some good deals on modern factory made knives there. A lot depends on what you're looking for of course but with so many dealers offering up so many knives, there's always a deal to be found if you hunt for it; and isn't hunting for it a lot of the fun ?

Joel for the past few years, several of us from AAPK have stayed at the Quality Inn in Marietta, Ga. It's located at 1255 Franklin Road S.E. just off the interstate. It only takes about ten to fifteen minutes or so (depending on traffic) to drive down to the Cobb Galleria where the show is held. It's a moderately priced motel, not a five star resort but decent and reasonable. Their phone no. is (770) 955-0004. Let us know if you decide to stay there.

We could plan to meet in the back right corner where the queen booth is saturday from 1-2 or something?
Roofsc, heal well brother! I just had my 1st real surgery last month on my shoulder, pretty minor but it is taxing on the body, stay healthy and rest up.

Roofsc, take things easy brother. You got to let things heal up. More importantly, your stamina will be down after that surgery...(I know)

Anyway, glad to hear it went well!
