The punch blade and bone look like Ulster to me .

Cal , New York Knife is a good guess. Today I picked up a swell end jack with "NEW YORK KNIFE Co Walden " on the master blade, and "HSB & Co Chicago" on the pen blade.

Not New York Knife bone.NYK did make many early HSB,so did Camillus and likely others.A NYK punch would likely have a patent #on it.

I don`t know if Challenge did or not Cal.But I have a Challenge trapper that has a hump on top of a long spey blade similar to the one on this shorter one.

I agree ,it's not NYK, although my HSB farmers jack is NYK.

Here is a Camillus to compare, Cal. ~3 15/16" or so -
