rehwappen knife

i bought a set of hunting knives or a pair a normal sized 6 inch blade with a smaller 3 inch blade in one sheath stacked and the single name acid etched is rehwappen. when i type this name in all that comes up is linder knives and the definition traditional. i would love to know a little about it. i would post a picture of them but i don't know how

Neat knife. I like the lion head pommel. During 1970's or 80's ? a number of German knife manufacturers put out stag handled knives with very colorful etches. These etches can be found on hunting knives and carving knives. It is possible that these blades were all made and etched by one manufacturer and then sold to knife companies to make into finished knives. This 'style' of knife manufacture (buying the parts) was/is common in Solingen.

If I recall correctly Rehwappen was a brand name used by Carl Lindner company.

I did a restoration of a Rehwappen about three years ago.
