C PLATTS' SONS PEARL LOCKBACK

Post by olderdogs1 »

I would appreciate it if some of you guys would take a look at this C Platts" Sons lockback and give your opinion as to its authenticity. It is a large knife 4 1/8" closed. I frankly have never seen another knife of any brand like it. Definitely looks old, patina is consistent throughout the backsprings, blade and tang. Pearl looks old as well.

All comments appreciated.

Nice looking old knife, Tom. ::tu::
That's a lot of pearl.
Looks like it wants to be an old trapper pattern.

I got this knife in a collection I purchased. I thought the $2200 price tag he had on it might have been a little high, lol.
