Cold Steel "Secret Edge".

Just ordered one for $10.99 from outside the country. The 3 1/2" AUS-8 blade should cut quite well (as well as my SOG Northwest Ranger). I was so impressed that I didn't hesitate to buy one at this price.
By the way, the steel is Japanese, not Chinese.
Does anyone have any input concerning this "neck knife"?

Without reviewing CS products, I'm not sure which knife your are referring to. However, I have a lot of experience with CS and specifically AUS- 8. It has always been a favorite of mine. I don't know if other manufacturers temper it as well, but CS results have always been excellent for me. Let us know your results.

I'd like to find a way to lash the knife to a two-loop arrangement to hide this down the back of my neck. (It is flat enough to hide that way).
They are claiming an HRc for the knife of 57-58. This is one "bad boy".
