butterfly knives....are they legal to carry in PA

i have heard alot of differeny answers. i have heard if it is a single edged blade less the 5 and a half inches then it is legal. i have heard that they are illegal no questions asked. what is the truth on this on or were can i view the laws for pa. if this is posted in the wrong place i am sorry. and sorry for the long post

if you live in pa. you can probably check your state laws for the most up to date answer. there are several places on the web that carry weapon laws but they are often out of date. most states frown on concealed knives over about 3 1/2". your age will be important. here is a link to many online sites dealing with carry laws.
