I've had this knife for a while but have found almost zero information on it. Anyone know any details on this 1185?

Looks like a nice knife. Maybe early 70's vintage?

Most of the Kabar knives with pattern numbers have synthetic handles like the knife link Greg posted. This knife with genuine stag handles is an exception. I would think the value for stag over synthetic would be at least double.

Kabar did make knives with the script stamp and pattern number in some genuine materials like stag and pearl. I don't believe I've ever seen a script stamp with a pattern number that had genuine bone handles.

Here is a Kabar that I own. I don't know if it is a 1185 or not, it is kinda a nice knife. Age? Value? Kabar is hard for me to determine age on.
