All About Pocket Knives

Looks failry legit to me, other than my own personal lack of knowledge.
That and part of the stamp not being on the blade.
But to my Understanding, Most Battle Axe knives were made in Germany, in the 70's & 80's, but this looks older than that.
Now I have read they were made in the States, but I could have sworn it was in Tennesse, maybe Kentucky. My reference names Tommy Shouse of NC, and George Smith of WV.
Now this one looks to me like it reads Phila cant make out the next letter then A. So maybe PA???
Maybe Dave (PA Knives) can throw some assist on this one, as I am not familiar with it. Or is it the German line Battle AX instead of Battle AXE???
Some further education would be appreciated.

Can't speak to the authenticity but Battle is shown in my book to have made knives from 1877 to around 1937. They evidently were in Phila. Pa.
The knives were wholesaled to and sold by A.R.Justice Co. also in Philly at the same time frame. I have seen a lot of old MOP on small pens, Hardly any of which did not have some cracks or missing quadrants. It is a nice looking knife from what you can see.

PS There were two separate cos. battle axe knives from Win-Sal. made in Ger. Circa 1880 and battle axe cutlery co. from Philly.
