Wondering if anybody knows anything about this knife, I have researched for hours.
What I know:
Bought it at Cutlery World, apparently an exclusive knife for them.
It is 1987 ser. # 40/1000
Received a congrats letter from Mr. Buck.
I have box and all paperwork.
I paid $125 in 1989.

What I'm wondering:
Why is this knife "invisible" online?
I think Cutlery World went bankrupt shortly after my purchase?
What happened to there inventory of this knife, assuming 900 of these knives are somewhere.
Apparently the knife did not sell well,
I bought ser #40 2 years after its manufacturer date?
Sure would appreciate some info.
Thanks

John, welcome to AAPK and especially the Buck subforum. I have plenty of Buck Knives and know a bit about some of them, however I know very little that will answer your questions. I'll look through some BCCI newsletters and see what I can find out. OH

Your research will certainly be appreciated. Generally the Internet will tell you something but this knife and a wildlife etched set of 4 I have draw a blank.
Thanks OH

In Blade's Guide to Knives and Their Values, 2005 edition, on page 469, there is a listing of the 1986 Buck limited edition knives. A 25th Anniversary Buck 110 with nickel silver bolsters is shown as being from a run of 2500 pieces. That's the only reference I've found so far. I've scanned the BCCI newsletters back through 2011, nothing yet. OH

OH, thx to your lead I was able to find it on page 505 of the 7th edition.
FYI it is listed as Frank Buck annvsry, run of 1000, offered at $125 (I paid) , 2009 value $175.
Still baffles me as to why these knives don't appear to be around, I thinking they are only show pieces, should be somewhere.
Thanks for the guidance.

John, I found a short paragraph about the knife in the first BCCI newsletter (1988). Send me your email address in a PM and I'll send you a scan in a PDF file. OH
