Weak springs

My only real disappoint on receiving shipped knives so far, is a weak spring occasionally, and I've got them from the biggest, most reputable manufacturers.

I get the impression that a weak spring weakens the knife generally, but that may not necessarily be true.

Maybe it's unfair to a dealer to return a knife with a weak spring because it may be the least of the flaws, and certainly can't be corrected without rebuilding the knife with a new spring.

If there were only one knife left, and it had a weak spring, would you overlook that flaw and buy it?
Would you return it?

Have you ever intentionally overlooked weak springs?
