This is a second knife donated by Gr8Scout ::groove::

The auction will start at $1.00 and end on Sunday; August 12, 2007 at 9:10 PM CST. I will pay shipping to the winner.

The knife is a supurb Camillis Fixed blade Wayne At War that commemorates John Wayne starring as Jim Gorden in the WWII film "Flying Tigers". The knife has stacked leather handle and a high carbon steel blade that is tang stamped "Camillus, N.Y." with serial number 0136 etched just above the tang. The etch is flawless and speaks for itself (see pictures). Knife comes with a sheath that includes a sharpening stone. Also comes with original box and paperwork including a certificate of authenticity. There are a just a few carbon spots on the knife and a bit of rust spots where the leather meats the hilt. It has never been used carried or sharpened and is a very well made knife in near mint condition.

There were two other knives in this series; The 'Fighting Seabees' featuring a navy mark 1 and 'The Sands of Iwo Jima' commemorative Mark2 USMC fighting utility knife.

Camillus had to go to as much trouble to make the box right (for the customer) as they did the actual knife product. Tom Williams sent me this.., the specs for the box of the Iwo Jima knife.

Thanks for your bids on this, all.
