Old fixed blade--who makes it?

I recently came across this on Etsy for $6 and decided to buy it, even though it was in awfully bad shape. I
Looks like an old Schrade to me--what do you guys think? ' Looks like it's going to need to see some cleaning to get to see the tang stamps. Think it's salvageable?

Wow, that's been used. Would need to see a close-up of the tang stamp to figure out who made it. As for it being "salvageable", yes it's salvageable. If you really like it you could contact one of the several "knife mechanics" on this site and I'm sure one of them could help you.
I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. That knife needs some work but I'm sure it could be turned into something very nice. If you find that it's a good quality knife, and being you only spent $6 plus shipping, you could probably have it turned into a keeper for a nominal fee.
