All About Pocket Knives

Here is a 3 3/8" two blade Pen knife with brass liners and Micarta ?? handles. Only the master blade is tang stamped: on the front side: Hen & Rooster logo over "Solingen" over "Germany". The back side is marked: "Lipschutz/Solingen/Germany".
I had thought that "Lipschutz" was associated with "Mutt" branding with a logo of a scruffy dog.

Can someone tell me about Lipschutz and Mutt and the connection with C. Bertram Hen & Rooster ?
How do you read this knife ? as a C. Bertram Hen & Rooster ? or a knife assembled from left over parts after C.Bertram closed in 1980 ? or some other origin ?

The knife is fine. Lipschutz was a Pawn Shop in Nashville, Tn. To my knowledge all of their knives were made by C Bertram. Yes the Mutt stamping is associated with Lipschutz. They were made by CBertram as well although they are not stamped as such. I have handled a few of the knives similar to the one you have posted. They are fine knives!
