Blade Scratch Removal

Just picked up this Hibbard, Spencer, and Bartlett knife. What's the best way to remove, or at least decrease the scratches on the blades?

Using a 1 hp buffer with ebony rouge on an 8" medium density felt wheel should take the scratches down quite a bit.
