I have this 626636, SHUREDGE, but it is NOT an "Iron Liner and Bolster" it is a "Brass Liner and Nickel-Silver Bolster. Is this common or just an error in blade placement/stamping?

No. Because I have many knives with a "6" in the third position that have brass liners and nickel- silver bolsters.

And your knife, even though the pattern number calls for bone handles, actually has black composition, which indicates circa WWII manufacture or shortly thereafter.

For whatever reason, bone was not readily available during the war.

Thanks. I didn't think it was bone...it just "feels" different.
