All About Pocket Knives

I just received this nice old Robeson ShuredgeCant find much info on the 62137 pattern. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a bone handled, two bladed, iron bolstered, iron linered, 4" equal-end jack with the handle-die shape pattern number of 037.

The "6" denotes bone, the "2" denotes two blades, the "1" denotes iron bolsters and liners.

The pattern numbers that Robeson used were six digit numbers, but they often dropped that fourth position zero on knives whose handle-die shape numbers were 001 through 099.

Here are two examples to illustrate what your knife's blades looked like when new. Neither of these have iron bolsters. Yours might be the first I've ever seen with iron.

Charlie there is the man with all the knowledge. But I'll say that's a fine looking HOK (Honest Old Knife). There's still quite a bit of pocket time left in the old knife.

Thanks. You mentioned it being 4", this one is approximately 4 1/4". Is there any variances from the old patterns?

I may have "short circuited" on the length, I was going on memory. Might actually be
4 1/4".

I'll check.

My database says 4". The knives are not readily accessible right now.
