Hi everyone I have a cattaraugus knife that I recently acquired and was looking for a bit more info on it . it is a cattaraugus fixed blade knife. I was told it is from the 50s but I'm unsure and am looking to see what year it's actually from and what model it is . and any other information on it would be great . thanks everyone .

I'm sorry I can't help you with your Catt but I can welcome you to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard. I wouldn't get my hopes up on dating the old girl. You usually can't get any closer than a decade or three on any older knife. Now someone come along and make a liar out of me.

Hi and also welcome to AAPK. I agree with Jerry but I would guess that 50's would be about the earliest your knife would be. If I were to take a bet on it I would say 30's or early 40's.___Dave

I attempted to do a review of completed sales of this type of knife on ebay, but was unable to find one with the same handle material. Given the condition of your knife, I would guess it might fetch somewhere between $40 and $100 but that's just a guess. It might bring more; it might bring less in an auction. If you have the original sheath for the knife that would likely increase the price a bit.
