Do the factories (Case) use epoxy to mount the scales on to the liners in addition to the rivets? I just tor the scales off a trapper and the handles popped right off except for the backspring pin.
Thanks

I'm not sure Wildcat. You'd think they'd use something pretty strong and durable....but in these times, with the bottom line being the main concern for some knife companies, not much would suprise me.

Case pins for the most part are not a standard size. Never seen one from the factory that was epoxied.

Thanks. It looked like something was on the underside of the scales when i popped them off. wasn't sure if it was epoxy or not.

they use a VERY light coating of glue, sometimes it lmore like 2 or three drops in the center instead of a coating, they do pop off easily
