I am looking to buy I believe 3 knifes that bear this insignia "jackass" sheild(I stand corrected on 3 knifes) Charlie Dortan knifes and I would like to purchase them to keep not to resell.
These knifes have a jackaas shield and I think a GEC 76 and a 72 and a cotton sampler I think.
I would like some more info from some of the more knowledgeable members if possible.Any and all help would be appreciated.
You can get me through here or email me please thru here !..
I hope this area will be OK to post this..

Thanks
Chuck

The Cotton Sampler's didn't have the Mule Shield, but a bar shield; the mule was stamped on the blades tang. These two are mine, but are not for sale or trade. The jack is my favorite jack to carry. OH

I don't think "Knife Lore" was exactly the correct forum in which to discuss modern knives, but the discussion is on-going and apparently moved to another forum, so....

I did a Google search and found none up for sale.

I can tell you that a mint-in-box Cotton Sampler sold on Ebay in 2013 for over two-hundred-twenty-five dollars and had, I think, thirteen bids.

So, if and when you find all three of your desired knives, it's gonna cost you.

Thanks Robeson for the reply and how well I know.I was able to find an original unused GEC 76 pictured here in this post with the "Jackass" shield and it was pricey but, what are you going to compare it with?.I have did countless hours and searches before I found that knife and that was just recently. It is kinda like the tv program chaseing classic cars. "The Search is a Major Hype" same here I enjoyed it and I knew it was going to be.I will get the others and then it will be something else..keeps me young. It is just money and they making it every day,lol Thanks for the input. ::shrug:: ::ds::
