Old fud here,hi to all.Old hardware store marked are my favorites like Simmons and Shapleigh.Into collecting old marked butchers and vintage sharpening stones especially Pike.

JBinILL Hello again. What's the maker on that knife you have pictured in the the fourth picture there. I have one very similar to that stamped Battle Axe Cutlery a stamp used by the Philadelphia hardware concern of A.R. Justice.I would like to see more pictures of it if you have time.

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard. What general area of the Great State of Chicago where all of our ex-governors go directly to jail and do not pass Go and we still don't have a budget, do you live in?
I have a handful of the Black Box Winchesters and was under the impression they were made by Queen. All but one are fine knives.
The one that's not so fine.

LOL I'm about 180 miles due south of Crookville.
I really don't really know that much about the Winchester re-pops.Just got that one.

LOL No I haven't but I've been there.My Mom's family was from Clark county.When my HS class had our 40th reunion a bunch organized a day trip down there.

Most folks don't realize that Illinois is divided up into four areas. Northern Illinois, Central Illinois, Southern Illinois (or as I prefer to call it, Gods Country) and then there's what you called, Crooksville.

LOL Anything north of Route 36 is Yankee territory as they say around here.
