Joe my memory fails me at the moment and I don't have my reference books with me but that stamp is associated with either Shapliegh or Simmons or another knife company. Do you remember which one it is?

Greg, in my new Knife Album on page 162 it shows up in Shapleigh's catalog. At least I think that's what I'm looking at.

That's right. Used by Norvell-Shapliegh. That makes it pretty early and highly desirable on top of being a great looking knife. Excellent score!

No, I don't have any idea when this was made, unfortunately. Haven't done any research.

That's a good looking old slim jack.

A quick look at Goins, page 33, shows 1902 to 1939 and he says the trademark was used by both Norvell-Shapleigh and Shapleigh.

He also illustrates a beautiful box label for the marque, which you might considering copying to display with your knife.

The crimson bone was rehandled by Elvis.
The other was rehandled by Orvet in orange swirl kirinite.

Took a couple pictures of it next to an early Schrade Cut Co I have, frame size is exact, shield looks to match and bone is very close.
