Russell Iver Johnson repair update

I asked you guys for advice on my Russell Iver Johnson awhile back. Here's a pick of the fix. My first fix, I know it's prob not a big deal to you knife repair experts but it sure is cool seeing this old one snapping! I'm afraid to get the pin any closer to handle without scratching but if you got any good ideas let me know. Thanks for the help!
