Carbon Backsprings/Stainless Blades?

I recently purchased a Craftsman stamped Camillus Stockman and noticed something odd. The backsprings are spotted and darkened as would be normal on a 40 or 50 year old knife. The blades have only a couple rust spots on the tangs and are still bright and shiny--which doesn't match the springs, given the wear, leading me to believe the blades are stainless, the springs are carbon steel.

The question is, did Camillus ever produce a knife with carbon steel backsprings and stainless blades.
